Children's Ministry
We at the children’s ministry believe every child is a unique gift from God [Psalm 127:3] and must be engaged in dynamic ways to introduce them to the beauty of Christianity. That’s why our approach to teaching – centred around a child’s unique qualities at his/her developmental stage.
We base our approach to engagement following these 3 principles:
1. Imagination: We know that the imagination of a child is one the best ways to engage a child in a fun way. That’s why we use visual aids, story-telling and other creative avenues to teach children about Godly principles.
2. Respect: As it is written in Proverbs 20:11, We believe every child’s sense of self-worth is very important to their understanding of themselves, people around them and God. That is why we engage in self-affirmative activities that demonstrate their uniqueness while building their emotional intelligence.
3. Interest: Lastly, just as with adults, we know children do not care what you know until they know you care. That’s why take out time to show genuine interest in our children by having one-on-one conversations. And Matthew 18:20 amplifies how special they are in the kingdom.
To achieve these principles, the children’s ministry is divided into 3 age groups: 2-5 years, 6-8 years and 9-12 years; activities and resources are developed to cater for the varying needs of children in each of these groups. We meet every Sunday except on the 1st Sundays of the month when we join the adults in a combined thanksgiving service.
Sunday School
Sunday school classes are not for kids. They are intended for every believer to sit at Jesus’ feet to learn of him. Our Sunday school classes offer the platform to learn biblical truths that we can apply to our daily living. Just like a normal class, there are teachers and students. Join us this coming Sunday and we’re sure you’d be blessed.
Media Ministry
The Media ministry comprise of men and women who work behind the scenes to make it possible for church services to run seamlessly through amplified sound, video & sound recordings, visual presentations, our web content, emails and other forms of communication.
The media ministry team has a wide variety of responsibilities. During worship services or other large events, they run the sound board for the worship band and speakers, including the pastor. If visual projections are required, a member of the team sits behind a computer system and ensures that it runs smoothly. Where recordings are required, members of the team are behind cameras ensuring the service is captured digitally. The ministry is also involved in updating the church’s website as well as social media content.
